No Fruit, but Faith

* It will take a minute to set the context of this passage for this morning. There is far more going on in this story than just what I will read. At this point in Mark’s gospel, Jesus is in Jerusalem for the last time. The stage is being set for Jesus to be challenged by the authorities and for him to assert his place in the greater scheme of things, for all time. There is tension in the air…
