Tom has been Pastor of Second Presbyterian since April 1, 2004. He has served as a Pastor and Associate Pastor in four different Presbyterian Churches, in North Carolina and Pennsylvania, most recently in Hendersonville, NC. He was ordained by National Capital Presbytery in 1989 to serve as Chaplain, Teacher and Coach at St. Stephens School, in Alexandria, VA. He taught American History, Modern European History, Religion and Ethics in several private schools following graduation from Seminary.
He is a graduate of Lafayette College (1979), Princeton Theological Seminary (1983) and has a Doctor of Ministry degree from Columbia Theological Seminary (1995.)
Two of his three children, Matt and Grace, are now college graduates (Cornell & UNC-CH), and Emma, the youngest, is a 7th grader. An avid bicyclist, on days off and in his spare time you might find him pedaling around North Baltimore & Baltimore County.
