Gwen oversees Second’s ministry to children, young people, and families while pursuing ordination in the Lutheran church (ELCA) as a seminarian at United Lutheran Seminary. She also serves on the student council and as a representative to Proclaim, a Lutheran LGBTQ+ ministry group. She has experience teaching special education, starting a publishing non-profit supporting women writers, and spent three years living in Sarajevo working with the State Department. She is from Portland, Oregon and is proud to call Baltimore home, where she lives in the Canton neighborhood with her family, elderly dog, and well-fed guinea pig.
