Emily Inglis Park grew up outside of Hartford, CT, and was involved in her community’s Congregationalist church from a young age. Her faith has always been a fundamental element of her life, especially after moving to Baltimore to study Art History at Loyola University Maryland. Her specialization in Medieval Studies allowed her to continue to engage with theology and church history from a new perspective, as did her short stint interning at the Vatican during a semester studying abroad in Rome.
Emily began attending Second in 2015, joining the choir that fall, and becoming a member soon thereafter. Since then, she has served on a number of councils, committees, and task forces. Having always felt called to church service, Emily joined Second’s staff as the Church Ministry Coordinator in the spring of 2021. From this position, Emily continues to support the work of Second’s Councils and assists the technical team with expanding online worship capabilities. She is especially focused on Second’s Mission; Peace & Justice; and Worship, Music & Sacraments councils.
Emily married her husband, Ellison, in a small ceremony on the sanctuary steps in 2020. When she is not working, she loves to garden, hike, cook, and spend time with friends and family.
