Andrea is a life-long member of Second Presbyterian Church and was both baptized and confirmed there. She received a B.A. from Smith College in 2018 with a degree in Film and Media Studies, and has been a part of many theatre productions, both at Smith and professionally, working as a stage manager and producer. Julie manages Second Presbyterian’s communications functions including weekly bulletins and Friday Flyer e-newsletter, monthly Tower newsletter, the church website, annual reports, and other printed materials. She also contributes to Second’s social media presence on Facebook. Julie is a native Baltimorean and lifelong Presbyterian at Roland Park Presbyterian Church. She graduated from Roland Park Country School, received her BA from Wellesley College in Middle Eastern Studies, and a Master’s Degree from Georgetown University’s Center for Contemporary Arab Studies. Instead of pursuing her early goal of going into the Foreign Service, Julie married Dan Evans, and stayed rooted in her hometown. She began her career working for the State of Maryland’s Sister State Program that developed a variety of international exchanges in several countries around the world, and then spent a number of years in communications and marketing roles for Maryland’s Office of International Business. Before coming to Second Presbyterian in 2010, Julie worked for the University of Maryland, Baltimore marketing its biomedical research park, the BioPark. Julie and Dan have two children and live in Homeland. Austin is a college junior studying biomedical engineering at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and Claire is a high school senior at Roland Park Country School who is also a talented artist and singer with her school a cappella group. Julie enjoys cooking, gardening, reading literary fiction, traveling, spending time in natural places, and constantly learning new things about history, science, economics, art, other cultures — you name it. She is an admitted NPR junkie.
Caroline Macsherry Mapp currently serves as the church’s bookkeeper. Since July of 2013, she has carefully tracked all of the church’s income and expenditures. Born and raised in Roland Park in Baltimore, she graduated from Mercy High School in 1990, and received her bachelor’s degree in business management from Villa Julie College in 1994. In addition to Second Presbyterian, Caroline is the bookkeeper for Roland Park Presbyterian Church, the Community Concerts at Second, and Caring For Kids of Kenya. She is also a very active member of the Board of The Roland Park Baseball Leagues, Inc., and works with her mother, Louise Macsherry, as the membership and treasurer of the Roland Park Swimming Pool. Finally, Caroline volunteers as the PTA Treasurer at her son’s middle school and her daughter’s Girl Scout troop. As a wife and mother of two children, she enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends. The Mapp family resides in Lutherville, Maryland.
