Return to 9 AM & 11 AM worship schedule and Sunday School

This Sunday, September 17th, we return to our regular 9 AM and 11 AM worship schedule. Sunday School for pre-schoolers through adults also begins at 10 AM. Adults are invited to the Adult Seminar in the Westcott Room for “A History of Bells: From Confucius to Coldplay” led by our handbell choir director, Beau Lochte.

Join Us for Rally Day

This Sunday, September 10th, we celebrate Rally Day, the traditional launch of the Sunday School year for children and adults alike. Please join us for worship at 10 AM followed by a picnic on the church lawn with great food, bounce house, pony rides, petting zoo and sno cones. All are welcome.

Turn Around Inc

During September, Second Presbyterian is collecting women toiletry items (excluding razors), new bras and underwear, and shower flip-flops for TurnAround Inc. At both worship services on September 17th, Rosalyn Branson, the CEO of TurnAround, will be sharing a few words about their program.  She will also be speaking informally to those interested in learning more about TurnAround between the two worship services in a room near the coffee and refreshments. Visitation and Memorial Service for Dave Zimmerman

We extend our heartfelt love and prayers for our pastoral assistant Joyce Zimmerman, and her daughters Cathy Lindemann and Laurie Thomas who grew up in this church, on the passing of Joyce’s husband Dave Zimmerman on June 8th from the complications of a stroke. Pancake Breakfast

Come out this Sunday, February 19th, for our annual congregational pancake breakfast at 10 am in Smith Hall. Blueberry, chocolate chip and plain pancakes, bacon, sausage and mixed fruit.

Annual Congregational Meeting & Souper Bowl Sunday

This Sunday, February 5, we will  hold our annual congregational meeting at 10 AM in the chapel to review annual reports, receive the 2017 budget, vote on the pastors’ 2017 terms of call, and to elect the proposed slate of officers for the Class of 2020. Super Bowl Sunday is also “Souper Bowl” Sunday. Help us tackle hunger by bringing in non-perishable food for the CARES food pantry and/or monetary donations for Manna House.

February Mission Book Group

Martin Luther King Day of Service

Make a Difference in Baltimore on MLK Day

Honor civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr. this Monday by giving of your time to help your fellow Baltimoreans. Volunteer for just a few hours or all day. Evening options are available too.
